I purchased windmill to help draw attention to my daffodil and tulip garden. Yes, it did that well. It's large size and blade span caught everyone's attention. But the blades don't quite fit tightly on the spindle--the spin is a bit sloppy. It got worse when some vandals broke two of the blades off. Forget about buying replacement blades, the seller is just an importer of cheap Chinese items. I'm going to have to try and fabricate some of my own.
I agree with the other reviewer that it makes sense to lock the blades down; especially on days with any wind at all. Still, I'm glad I bought it and plan on trying to repair it.

Windmill light house is ok The Windmill itself is a poor design Best to lock it so it won't turn.

We put this in an area that is protected from the most direct wind we get, both south and north. The first big wind and the windmill is in pieces. I tried to get a replacement windmill, without success. Not sure I'd recommend to anyone for the windmill, but the lighthouse is good.
