I own this Ott lamp, and would just like to pass on my experience with it. I use mainly for sewing, and winter darkness. I love this lamp, but think folks should be aware that the flexible plastic breaks. My lamp has not been abused, no kids in home, but has cracked in 2 places so far. Today I contacted the company about getting this repaired. I don't know how safe it is in this condition. Other than this, it is a great lamp.

Beautiful light that is not too hot. I use it at my loom and other lights get too ht. This lamp took the place of another OTT that stopped working after about ten years.

I read the reviews about how difficult this lamp could be and was hesitant to purchase one. When it arrived, I only took five minutes or less to put it together. The lighting is wonderful and I intend to purchase another soon.

After getting to the REAL package, it only took 3 minutes to get this excellent light source operating. We like Ott lights and use them wherever we need them -almost every room.
