I purchased this item as a protection from large metal pots, etc. from scratching my new Elkay stainless under mount sink when washing various pieces of kitchenware. The feet at the corners are covered with a black plastic. The bad news: the black plastic scratches the stainless steel leaving fine scratches in the corners. This product cost $70.00. I am very disappointed. The black plastic covering should have been made of a softer material that would not scratch an expensive sink.

I replaced a rubber may in the bottom of the sink with this. It works much better than the rubber mat. You can use a nozzle to get the food into the drain without picking it up. The only problem is one of the little feet that it sits on doesn't touch the sink because the sink is a little lower. It doesn't really affect how I use it or anything I just thought it would fit the sink perfectly since it's made to fit my sink.
