Easy to install (if one already has outlets from older light fixtures); color and shape match well a wood deck; the shade cuts substantially in the harshness of fluorecent lamps, resulting in a pleasant light, almost the color of incandescent (a lamp of decent temperature, 3500 deg F or less, helps). Price is adequate of course, a lower price woiuld have been welcome! The overall result is very pleasant.
