I would've loved wood this has shine and looks fake when close but as I look across the grass it looks very nice. I wish it would've been in 2 parts instead of so many to glue together. On the positive side, placed over a treated, wooden, cemented, 4x4 post, it's there for a long timewon't rotand has the colonial look I love!!!

THIS LAMP POST IS SO ATTRACTIVE AND IT BEAUTIFIES MY HOME. IT IS TALL ENOUGH TO LIGHT THE WALKWAY AND IT CAN BE KEPT CLEAN JUST BY WIPING IT WITH A LITTLE SOAP OR WINDOW CLEANER.

Having our two wood lamp posts begin to deteriorate after 25 years in the ground, decided it was time for better looking permanent, maintenance-free replacements. Bought one of these lamp posts, hoping that its appearance, construction, etc. would be satisfactory. Was really easy to put together and install. Looks great! Ordered the another one right afterwards and the second was even easier to assemble and install, having done it once. Would highly recommend as long as the slightly shiny vinyl look is OK for you. For us, they're perfect.
