This lamp projects enough soft beautiful light to illuminate a 15 x 15 foot space easily and will look great almost anywhere, with practically any decor, except perhaps a teepee. I use the lamp with a dimmer and can confirm the lamp does not buzz at all. Construction and materials are first rate. Design is beautiful, practically timeless. Installation instructions made set-up very easy (I installed by myself with just a screwdriver, and I am not particularly handy). The springs that are part of the lamp heads keep the glass shades firmly in place, which is good. But users should be careful (be firm, methodical, gentle) as you remove and replace the globe-shaped glass shades when changing the bulb. This is not a criticism, just a suggestion. I would buy one of these units again in a heartbeat, Or if I required more light, I would get the 6-Lite model. As always, with lights of this type, ALWAYS use the right bulb; don't be tempted to install a higher wattage bulb because you think you need a bit more light ... otherwise you will burn out the transformer in no time, and the only lightness will be in you wallet, when you have to replace the transformer or perhaps the entire light fixture.
