Delivered fairly quickly, easy to assemble, perfect condition. I needed extra light in a high-ceiling room with a small footprint. This is perfect -ample light without glare, lots of light goes straight up which is what I needed.

These were easy to assemble, but not stunning. The shade is slightly crooked and took some work to straighten out. The pull cord is slightly tacky.

The lamp post and shade are very crooked and can't seem to straighten it out. I've concluded that it is a defective product and this will be my first Amazon return.

Also, the double shade, which I don't remember seeing in the product description, does not light up the room enough, even with the maximum allowed bulb wattage of 100W.

The quality of construction and how the pieces fit together is quite cheap and certainly isn't worth the price.

However, I do like the lamp shade (minus the inner shade) and it was easy to assemble.

I purchased this lamp for my office at work. I needed something slender and soft that would fit in a tight space. It works perfectly the construction is solid (wood base and pole), and the lamp had a double-shade on it which softens the light. When assembled, it's a beautiful piece. It also fits nicely with my retro-1960s theme, but would fit well in a more contemporary setting as well. Overall a beautiful piece, I am very happy with my purchase.

This lamp was not all that easy to assemble. We struggled with it (and the directions) quite a bit. The shade is nice and emits a soft light, though just barely enough to permit reading. I really like the walnut, but the lamp cants to one side somewhat. I can set it straight, but it is easily disturbed and usually at a tilt. I do enjoy it as a soft bedside light. I wish I had purchased one with a three-level bulb capacity. But it is quite pretty!
