We have the type of emergency lights with a recessed test button. When they would get inspected, by pushing the test button, probably a 1/4 of them would break and need replaced. I went looking for the type of lights that had a raised button and enough illumination for a plant environment and found these. I purchased 5 just to see if they were rugged enough to last in our plant, and I was pleasantly surprised that they were. I plan to purchase about 30 more over the next couple months to replace the ones that we have installed now. They arrived quickly and performed perfectly. Couldn't recommend them more highly for an industrial environment.

good backup, in emergencys, i bought this to have a 12v backup, i changes the bulbs to super bright leds, which total 5 watts this has a backup power of 76watts, i ran a test on them when FULLY charged they lasted 8days and 3 hrs...i bought two of them and the bulbed ones lasted 11 hrs, i have 4 lights to each set...since then i bought the leds for the second one, i have a manual swith for daytime conservation, but my trial run i ran them the whole time without shutting them off, with these swithes you should get extended uses out of them, way longer than my first trial run...i got the leds from lowes from a flashlight upgrade....or you can get dome light leds for a car and use them...both work but the light leds are expensive....thankx
