I used two of these sconces to set off either side of a large piece of artwork on an end wall of the room. These were perfect and really look good. I used 75 watt halogen bulbs that are dimmable and provide non-glare lighting that is bright and fill the wall area with light.
The style is very contemporary and goes well with my wall art, burgundy couch and chair. Very satisfied.

Looks great, but there are design problems:1. this pretty large vertically oriented lamp is held on only a single point, and it can't be tightened up easily because this decorative round threaded cap is very very smooth, nothing to grip onto. So the entire lamp seems to easily tip over and the glass shade would just fall down.
2. Because it's held by a capped and not a regular nut, you have to carefully measure how much of the threaded tube should stick out, and you can easily spend some "quality time" adjusting how much of the threaded tube should be screwed in, while the manual says only three full turns
3. The frame is larger than the glass shade and you have to carefully adjust glass shade's position when inserting, it's only held by the gravity there
4. You can only install bulb when the glass shade is in place, otherwise you won't be able to slip the shade over the bulb
5. The manual that came with the unit is generally written for the entire product line and doesn't address my concerns above at all
6. The products comes without some auxiliary components (two mounting screws and two electrical wire-to-wire connection cones) and you have to run around look for it, especially if it's brand new installation (vs. replacement). I expected from a product in this price range to be worry-free equipped...
I'm surprised that other reviewers posted "installation is easy"; it rather seems to be easy but I'm not sure whether the glass shade will still be there in the morning...
The design is beautiful, though, my wife bought three of those.

While looking for other lights, saw this light and smiled. We bought 4 of them 5 several years while building our cabin. They are on either side of our cabin's fireplace, and on both sides of the doorway into the great room. We have very tall ceilings (11-14 feet) and their length and classy look are perfect in the setting. We too have them on a dimmer with an incandescent light. The oiled bronze was more black than brown. I think we paid about $70 each at the time. Everyone that has seen these installed at my house have commented that they look great. As for the other reviewer who noted that they are flimsy when installed, I just used an extra nut I had and tightened it down as much as I needed. The rounded cap nut is somewhat useless anyway given that it is covered with the shade, so it would have made more sense to just include another standard one. Also, the shade height as seated on one mine was a little off compared to the other (bought two for either side of the tv), due to the metal brace the shade fits in being a little snugger than the other. This was easily fixed with a 'little" bending. Overall the looks of these are excellent, especially on either side of my wall mounted flat screen.With regards to price, at 75 they would probably be priced right. As is, they are a little pricey for the quality of materials, etc. but not so much that I would call them expensive.
Overall 5 stars for the look and 4 stars on the install (parts).
