This is a nice item. Costs more than some of the others, but the finish on the metal and the quality of the shade make it worth it.
The switch has a built in dimmer and the taper of the potentiometer feels great. I think it takes up to a 75W bulb, maybe even 100.
The back plate comes off so you can mount just that, then place the lamp over the plate and secure using the two side screws on each side. I didn't know that when I first installed it and damn near went crazy trying to slide it down and onto the screws while the lamp was completely assembled. Duh! Don't do that. The supplied drywall anchors are garbage. Use better, commercial grade anchors if you are going into drywall.
