This slim, handsomely-designed under-shelf lighting unit provides two levels of illumination from its pair of Xenon lamps (similar to halogen but longer-lasting). The hinged, magnet-held translucent lems makes bulb-changing simple and quick. For some reason, the familiar keyhole screw mounting was changed, now requiring that the unit be directly screwed to the shelf or cabinet from below---a more difficult alternative if the mounting area is not easily visible. Also, possibly only with my purchase, the electric cord receptacle on the unit has a male configuration as does the connection end of the power cord, requiring the two elements to be held in place, pin against pin, with tape in order to make contact.(It works but needs adjusting regularly.)

Ordered the bronze fixture. Received the polished steel. Can't exchange. Amazon is really becoming a disappointment. More often than not something is not quite right with anything I order.

I remodeled the kitchen and was looking for direct wire lights for under the cabinets. I found these and installed them with a dimmer. Very well made, easy to service and keep clean. Hide nicely under the cabinet lip. Very good lights.

This lighting unit installs easily and works as described. It is very sleek and blends nicely with the overhead hutch of my desk. When used for an extended period of time, the unit's metal frame does get hot.

Ordered item and received it without a power cord once. Amazon wonderfully made replacement and return simple. Received second one and also no power cord. Returning second time but for a refund. Cant rate the light itself, but would have really liked to.
