As soon as I saw an ad for this light I had to get it. I've had problems with previous lights coming on when you approached the motion sensor straight on so I thought this would be the perfect solution. The first light I received was damaged upon receiving it. The motion sensor arm was cracked (cheap plastic). I returned it and waited a month to receive a new one from Amazon.
Upon receiving the new light it sorta worked. At dusk the light gets confused and doesn't know whether or not to stay on. When it detects motion the light will flicker at dusk. Once the sun fully sets it will then work as described. Unfortunately the light just stopped working properly. It remains on regardless of motion or sunlight. Even taking a flashlight and shining it directly into the photovoltaic cell doesn't shut it off.
I'm returning it back to Amazon one more time. Maybe the third time will be a charm. If it doesn't work after this last attempt it will just be sent back and I will find another manufacturer. The one good aspect of the light it that it appears to pick up motion regardless of how the object is moving which is great. It also has a wide field of detection.

Unit only blinks on for four seconds when motion is detected. Cooper Lighting support says their daylight sensor is picking up the lamps own reflected light off wall it is mounted to. That I should tape large black cardoard between wall and its sensor! Even that would not work after testing. Rain would destroy the cardboard and look horrible on white garage with white lamp. Incredibly poor design for an otherwise advanced sensor. This could have been a great product with a very small technical correction, but is utterly unacceptable. Don't even think of buying this.

After replacing countless similar (Chinese Made JUNK)security lights at Lowe's & Home Depot which failed within one year I decided to buy these name brand Cooper lights, and so far so good, they are working as they should but just so you know each light has one 150 bulb which will light up a small area but not a very large yard if that is what you have, I will give an update in about 6 months to let everyone know how they are working out.

I ordered / received 4 of these floods. I have yet to install them. On the 1st fixture out of the box, when positioning the beams and motion detection stem, the "thread canal or insert" on the motion detection stem stripped after only 3 or 4 times of loosening & tightening. Upon inspection, I noted the tip of the screw (1/4" Phillips) had dried glue on it. So, the method for securing the motion stem is thin or temporary threads and glue. Unexplainably, the beams adjustment thread inserts were deeper and more durable and the screw had no glue ... I could loosen / tighten those multiple times. My options were to: 1) set the angle of the motion stem and apply drops of crazy glue to the thread insert and screw ten clamp, 2) a sloppy duct tape job, 3) ship back to the manufacturer in Georgia to replace. It's definitely a design flaw and workmanship issue. If you get these floods and you have a ceiling / eve install, you'll need to position the beams and motion detector stem to suit, so try to secure the motion stem first and work around it, as it's cheap shit.
