Bought this lamp for a kids desk and returned it due to the incredible heat generated by the lamp shade. I expected some heat since the shade is copper but this lamp will flat out burn you (as it did me). Impossible to adjust once it's been on for 15 minutes since you must adjust with the shade and it you can't touch it to adjust.

Gave this to my son for Christmas. Great desk lamp. So, I am going to buy another as I too love the look. It is not big, but measurements are accurate. Copper finish makes it look antique and at the same time sleek and modern. Light reflects straight down good for reading as you can adjust the light.
