Three basic problems with this ceiling light:
1. Each of the seeded panes is held in place by metal fold-up tabs that are large and long enough to be plainly visible when someone looks at the ceiling lamp from floor level. These tabs are spot welded in place; two were broken before I opened the box. The result is that the lamp looks really cheap, unlike the manufacturer's photo.
2. The seeded glass isn't the easiest to install. The light must be entirely disassembled to install the glass, and it's a very tight fit. I finally did get them in, but it takes patience; there are no instructions other than, "install the glass" which isn't very helpful; and as noted below, anything will scratch the finish in a way that's not attractive.
3. The finish isn't what I'd call durable. It scratches very, very easily, both when removing the screws remove the housing and install the glass, and when removing the housing itself. The finish underneath is reddish / copper color, and provides enough of a contrast to show every single scratch.
I did send a "I can't assemble this" email to the vendor. No response.
All in all, I can't recommend this in the slightest. I couldn't use this in our outdoor cabana. I bought another at half the price from a local big box hardware store.Fast shipping, reasonably priced. Easy install, looks great and much brighter than I anticipated. Quality product would definitely recommend this to a friend.
