yup, I didin't believe the last guy...been buying from amazon a long time and always receive what is represented online, this pool lite clearly shows lamp shades and listed in description ..durable polyresin black shades .. however ..it's false advertising because this lamp does not ..I REPEAT...DOES NOT COME WITH LAMP SHADES...GOOD THING I BOUGHT IT FROM AMAZON!!!...called customer service and they are sending a replacement right away...great customer service!!!I buy eveything from amazon..

I saw this had mixed reviews but for the price i had to try it. I noticed some people say they are missing the shades. When i received my package it came in 2 boxes. 1 for the shades and 1 for the light assembly. The quality is great for the price, the shades are not warped or bent and have a thick feel to them. No light excepts from the shades and vents it to the table properly. It came complete with everything listed. chain, wires and so on. Note it does not comes with light bulbs. I used standard bulbs in mine. Now i decided to hard wire this light into my ceiling so i had to cut the plug end off and splice the wires and connect it to and old ceiling fan box. Works perfectly. It has a toggle switch so you can turn it on or off that way or in my case just use the light switch. I opted to use standard hooks to hang this with. It comes with a fancy decorative set that i really would not figure out but hooks work just fine. I will post pictures of this item because i feel this seller needs consumer proof. This is easily a 200$ light but because the split reviews i feel it needs some hard evidence. Thankyou for the great light it accents my room very well! oh and before i forget i notice this light for the price only is offered with black shades. I had a buddy buy the exact same light but wanted green shades, Just use a can of krylon spray paint and it works great. Customize this light how ever you like. I definitely recommend this light and i see no need for anything less than 5 stars! This was purchased as a Christmas present and silly me, I did not open the box before giving it. It was discovered upon opening that it did not have the lamp shades, only the metal part. Amazon will not just send shades, so in order to get what was ordered, the whole huge thing would have to be sent back so a replacement could be sent.Just save yourself the hassle and spend a little extra to get something quality, or go to a store and buy something similar to this where you will end up with what you purchased.
