The lamp arrived in good condition. Shipment was quick considering that it only had to come from a local warehouse in my area. Even so, the box had a few dents given the size of the package, but the contents were well packaged with styrofoam protecting it in all the right places. Perhaps if they packaged the item in heavier gauge cardboard it would handle the trip better, but not a showstopper at all.

Prior to shipping, Furniture Creations sends the buyer an e-mail giving extensive and well detailed information on what to expect regarding shipping of furniture items. Large furniture items such as couches, sofas, etc. ship via LTL freight. Lamps such as this one ship via FedEx.

This is a well constructed lamp with a nice appearing nickle finish.

In purchasing this lamp one needs to consider where they are going to locate the base and stand, as it has the initial impression of being huge. Placing the base and stem behind a couch or in a corner is ideal.

The highest point of the lamp stands 7' above the floor and it extends out about 5' from the base. However, it doesn't have to extend that far since the outermost portion of the lamp can be telescoped back into the first curvature as far as 3', thus giving one some allowance on controlling extension.

This lamp puts out plenty of light. I have a 10 watt fluorescent bulb in mine. Anything else is too much glare.

The shade is unique an can be tilted at various angles. The step-on switch is a nice feature, eliminating the hassle of trying to turn a stubborn rotary switch that comes with most lamps.

The lamp was perfect for the location. The apartment is small and it is a perfect fit and just the right height. It is the finishing touch that the apartment needed to add the pop I was look for. Assembly wasn't bad, could have used two people but I managed alone.

Love this product. It arrived in fine shape, and was very easy to assemble. The only difficulties were minor ones associated with the fact that the marble base is very heavy (as needed to keep the lamp upright when it's assembled) and so a bit hard to maneuver, and the fact that the height of the lamp (maybe 8 feet tall?) once assembled is great enough that it's a little hard to carry around to the place where you want to place it. It's a very handsome addition to my living room over a couch, and the push-button on-off switch on the line cord can easily be placed near the place you want to sit beneath the lamp. Ah, yes, there's a lot of packing material to discard afterwards, but that material served beautifully to keep the product in excellent shape when it arrived.
