I had been eyeing this light for a while, and finally purchased. We had an empty spot on the wall for a sconce in an older, historic home that we had not gotten around to yet. The room is smaller, we use it as an office and it has no overhead light, only this sconce and any floor lamps we use. The light is good looking in the picture, but when you actually install it and turn it on, it's gorgeous! The light filters through the shade beautifully, it has a nice golden glow to it and you can actually see the sort of tweed look of the materials used in the shade; this is not a cheap shade, but well made of high quality material. I am very pleased with this purchase!
