its response is slow! and it difficult to get the coulor you want! also, it interfers with your internet router!
i have four and each one of them needs to be set from its remote! SO, four lamps in the room and four remots on the table!

I do like this light very much, and the hues I can get from it are stunning. Plus it just plain looks like a beautiful decoration. The remote though? My god, whoever designed it was a complete incompetent. Oh, the concept was nice -little touch-sensitive places to turn the lamp on and off and to select the colors. But all too often the remote goes crazy and just stays on for half a minute at a time, causing the lamp to flash and cycle through unrelated colors.
One thing I did that seems to cure the crazy behavior is I left the battery cover off, and when the remote is acting up, I nudge the batteries and that seems to stop it.
Seriously, they should have just made a standard remote with standard buttons and left it at that.
My only other criticism is I wish it was possible to make the 'color flow' (colors changing over time) able to be much, much slower. Otherwise, most of the time, I just pick a color to fit my mood on a given evening and leave it at that.

At first this appears to be a less expensive version of the Equinox, but at least in reference to the remote it is not. Since the remote doesn't work, I'll never know if the lamp itself also has defects or not. The remote simply did not work. Even with new batteries which I tested to ensure they worked well, the remote did not work. There is a slight difference between the interior of this remote and the one for the Equinox. That alone may or may not be the reason it did not work. The problem is that the batteries don't stay securely seated, but frankly even manually holding them into proper place, the thing failed to operate. Just plain dead. These remotes show a dim little red light when a signal is going out, and this never emitted anything. The lamp lit up for a second upon plugging it in, which is what the Equinox does as well. They are not meant to stay on without receiving a signal from the remote after that initial second of light. You can not control these without a remote. It is difficult to replace the cover to the battery compartment for both this remote and the one for the original which this one tried to copy. However, this one is even worsereally seems like it will break and doesn't line up if you don't get it "threaded" right it jams and is nearly impossible to remove the cover. I was afraid it would break. As I said, it just didn't work so decided to send it back right away. Perhaps mine is defective, perhaps it's an inherent design flaw. Either way, I'll stick to the equinox, and maybe some day I'll try one of the Phillips ones.Honest reviews on LEDwholesalers LED Color Changeing Light Ball with Remote Control
