We have a very long, slightly twisted driveway ( 297 feet long ) which can be very difficult to back down in the dark. To help with this problem we have always had 8 solar lights spread-out along the darkest section.
The original 8 last just a few years until the plastic lens started to cloud. A real shame since these triple LED, dual AA batteries solar lights were otherwise very nice lights.
The next set had glass lens, a single LED but still had dual AA batteries making them easily last through the night. Unfortunately this summer we had to evacuate the house due to the Waldo Canyon fire and upon return noticed that 4 of the 8 lights had disappeared.
Just before Halloween we determine that some folks might not walk up the drive if it didn't have all the lights so we ran to Home Depot ( after reading Robert's review ) and picked up a set. They have a very nice dual LED and provide a perfect non-bluish light ...
However, they do not last all night and you can't just replace the rechargeable battery with a standard, higher mAh rechargeable AA. That is because they don't use AA batteries. They use a 14430 LiFePO4 3.2V 300mAh battery which is about ¼ inch shorter than a standard AA. Not sure why they do this since there is plenty of space available in the housing for AA but a single AA would only provide 1.2V and the 14430 provide 3.2V, so you'd need 3 AAs to replace to similar voltage. You can find 14430 on Amazon, some up to 600mAh so I'll likely simply replace the 300mAh ones if they start going dark too early this winter.

I bought these from Home depot for a little less. They are so worth it! They look classy, they were easy to assemble and they lit up right away. When I was putting them out it looked like I was carrying torches! The lighting is good too. I'd say they shoot out a srong light about 15 feet with their design. I'm using these to light up my front lawn a bit for security reasons. I think I made a good choice.
