This was the best price I could find anywhere and the light is as described. It is attractive and went together with no problems at all. i was a little disappointed that it didn't throw more light but if you were painting on a canvas I suppose it would be perfect. Sadly, I was just looking for more ambient light than I got and I don't think I want to purchase the additional lights to go on the stand. I think I may purchase one of the workshop clamp-on lights that you can purchase at Home Depot or Lowe's for a fraction of the cost and see what happens.

The lamp and stand were easy to assemble and illumination was good. However it made an annoying continuous buzzing noise when I turned it on. My expectation was that the lamp would not make any noise. I returned it for a refund. No problem with that process.

The reason this ships with a 20W CFL is because that is the largest it will take. They don't seem to mention that in the description. 20W is not enough light.

Its just what I needed for my painting, doesn't distort color, easy on the eyes, adjusts nicely to height and angle, easy on and off, good for day and night painting.
