I installed an Emerson Carrera Grande Eco 60" ceiling fan mounted on an 8'6" ceiling in my master bedroom and needed to add a light, so a low-profile fixture was paramount. I wanted to get the Palmer light fixture (LK161AP) due to it's noticeably lower profile finial, but "manufacturing issues" finally led to Emerson pulling that product from the market prior to production.
This fixture works as expected, looks great, and sits pretty close to the blades as to not encroach on my bedroom. The only things I wish they would change would be to lower the profile of the finial, and lose the pull-chain. I have a wall switch and remote control for the fan/light combination; I doubt I'll ever need a pull chain to operate the light, and seeing a pull-chain may entice guests to pull it, making the digital controlers useless. Because of that, I cut the pull-chain to a length of 1" beyond the end of the finial and didn't install the wooden handle. This allows the chain to still be used, but doesn't hang so low that it encroaches on the room or entices guests to pull it.
