I bought two of these as bedside lamps for our guest room. They come well packed and look quite nice for how simple they are. I don't buy lamps often, but they seemed a little expensive for how basic they are. They shade is very thin, hopefully it holds up over time. Nice smooth metal finish, the black cord is a little obtrusive, would have looked much better with a white cord. I bought the white shade version.
