I got this for my son's bedroom to keep the air circulating around. His room is about 12x10, and this is the perfect size for it. It is a flush mount fan, so it doesn't hang down as far from the ceiling as normal fans. I don't even realize it is there most of the time.

Hunter fans are high quality, reliable and well worth your purchase. I have purchased three of these for my current home after owning Hunter brand fans in my previous home that were going strong after 10 years with no issues. These fans are quiet, operate smoothly and installing isn't that difficult as long as you follow the instructions. These fans will provide a long time of use and Hunter stands behind their fans as well with their warranty.
The Ashlyn model has been discontinued but can be found cheaper elsewhere.

Hunter fans were recommended to me by my electrician. I had a ceiling fan in my room and my daughters room that kept us up at night with all the noise they made. I bought two of these fans, one for my daughters room and one for mine. I used the cherry side of the fan blades for my room and the maple side for my daughters room. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! These fan's were so quiet and circulated the air nicely. I can't say enough good things about this fan. We are definitely sleeping better.
