I don't know how Lite Source is measuring their lamps...this is one of two Lite Source Lamps I purchased. Both were much smaller than described (had to return the other style). I kept this one since it is going on a tall chest-of-drawers, so height doesn't matter. Actual height is approx. 17 inches. The look of the lamp is as pictured; great price. Love it & kept this one. Note it is difficult to access the light switch (you actually have to reach under & up the lampshade, tight fit; have to pay attention to clean hands & not touching fabric shade...hoping the fabric won't get soiled). Larger hands most likely will have problems accessing switch.This small table lamp is well made with a contemporary look. It is smaller than I thought it would be; however, it works well on a bedside table. This is a great buy for the price!
